I can see both sides of it. Obviously intelligent, independent-thinking people, of which the forum houses many, are going to be able to research and form their own opinions on these things and not be influenced by the presentation of certain things in film, TV, books (well, as much as they can actively do so) etc. Unfortunately, not everybody thinks in the same capacity and large chunks of the world's population are heavily influenced by the media and it's representation of all things. So Seruphim has a point: it is dangerous when so many people don't think for themselves and the media spreads uneducated views. However, you also have to realise that there are plenty of people who can see it as what it is: just a film. On topic, going to the cinema on my own and realising that it wasn't as scary as I had built it up to be instantly had me thinking 'ok, what can I see next?', and this is one I might see. |

This is one of the better thrillers I've seen in a while. It beats many recent horror movies, and it's probably going to be among many people's best 2017 movies lists. Though... SPOILERS FOR THE ENDING

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?! Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power. | |

Just watched the movie and seen it last night but I've seen a lot of people say it. How was the movie trying to go for realism? Spoiler: click to toggle Not the best movie in the world but it was damn good, excellent performance by James McAvoy. Dude better be going places. I wanted so badly for it to tie in with Unbreakable's universe. Spoiler: click to toggle

It was grounded in reality, there was little to nothing supernatural/sci-fi esque about it up until the last personality came out. The Beast practically shifted the tone of the movie almost. |
